Kyu Kang

Associate Director

Kyu is driven to improve health and well-being by innovating and supporting the systems that shape people’s lives. She has experience working in various health care spaces, including policy, health services research, and clinical care, and is passionate about multi-disciplinary, outcomes-based solutions.  

Prior to joining Quantified Ventures, Kyu was a senior health policy analyst at the Joint Commission on Health Care, a study commission of the Virginia General Assembly, where she led research on health care issues affecting Virginians. In this role, she gathered data and perspectives from state agencies, community-based organizations, providers, and insurers to design evidence-based, actionable policy recommendations for the Virginia legislature. She has also worked as a non-profit consultant, helping organizations maximize their social impact by building organizational capacity, refining their mission and vision, and implementing strategy.  

Kyu and her husband live in Richmond, VA, with one grumpy pug, Gumby, and one adventure cat, Penelope. She takes every chance she can to escape into the mountains to hike and rock climb.
