Chloe Wingerter
Associate Director
Chloe's north star has always been centered on the power of communities to create lasting change for people and our planet. She started her career in the field of public health consulting at John Snow Inc. (JSI) with the Healthy Communities team. One particular project, the evaluation of the Massachusetts Healthy Incentive Program, introduced her to the potential of regional food systems to impact local economies, the health of people, our environment, and overall community connectedness.
To upskill her toolbox on strategy and finance, Chloe pursued an MBA at the University of Oxford in England. During the program, she had a "lightbulb" class and professor that introduced her to innovative and inclusive finance, familiarizing her with all different types of creative capital models. Blending her interest in innovative finance with sustainable agriculture, Chloe joined the team at Walden Mutual Bank, a new mutual bank focused on supporting agriculture and food systems across New England and New York. She built the bank's first practice area in regional grains, providing loans across the entire grain supply chain in the region. Additionally, Chloe helped grow the commercial deposit department and supported over 200+ business banking partners that spanned farms, food companies, impact investment firms, foundations, nonprofits, and many more.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, she has lived across all different parts of New England (and across the pond in England) - in cities, or nearby mountains and the ocean. Outside of the office, Chloe can be found in a pottery studio, on trails, or in the ocean attempting to surf.
